How to Play Tongits

Game Objective

Tongits is a rummy-style card game where players aim to form valid sets (three or four of a kind) and runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit). The goal is to empty your hand or have the lowest point value when a player calls "Tongits" or when the deck is exhausted.

Getting Started

Each player is dealt 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck. Players take turns drawing a card from the draw pile or picking up the discard pile's top card, then discarding one card to end their turn. The game continues until someone calls Tongits or the central deck runs out.

Calling Tongits

When a player has formed valid sets and runs with all their cards, they can call "Tongits" to end the game immediately. The other players reveal their hands, and card points are calculated. The player with Tongits or the lowest score wins the round.

Scoring System

Cards 2-10 have face value, while Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth 10 points each. Aces are valued at 1 point. The winner scores the total points from opponents' unmatched cards. Bonus multipliers apply for special combinations and calling Tongits.
